Announcing the Ohio River Cup!!
For Immediate Release:August 8, 2006http://www.ohiorivercup.blogspot.com/Today it was announced that the Charleston Chainsaws, the Danville Demolition, and the Ohio Sentries have reached an agreement to name their series of games the Ohio River Cup. "The idea is that any team in the Western Conference that is in a state that borders the Ohio River can play for this," Sentries PR man John Pearce commented. The winner of the cup will be determined by which team has the best record against the other two, if this ends in a tie then which ever team is higher in the league standings will win the cup."The idea is to foster interest in the league and establish a Mid-West rivalry by making the Cup an issue of regional pride."

Opening Day!!!

The day of the Sentries season home opener against San Diego will be a day full of festivities surrounding Value City Arena. Both Mayor Michael Coleman and Governor Ted Strickland have commited to attend the all day celebration of music and food.
"We have bands covering every genre of music you could think of to ask as a giant pep rally for a team that Ohio is taking to heart." said public relations lead John Pearce. "There is going to be food and even an all state chilli cook-off with contestants from every part of the state."
The day of concerts will end when new local sensation SpamChef will take the stage. "We are really excited about SpamChef because this concert will kick of a great partnership between them and the Sentries, they will play at every home game as band to provide music for the crowd. We expect this will bring more excitement than just musical recordings."
However this turns out, it appears the Sentries are looking to expand the appeal of the Internet Indoor Football League.
